Hole No. 8

Par 4

  • Championship: 441 yds
  • Back: 414 yds
  • Middle: 397 yds
  • Forward: 299 yds

This lovely, tree lined hole requires a tee shot over a large ravine and a series of bunkers to a fairly generous fairway. The second shot must negotiate large bunkers both left and right of the rectangular shaped green.

Local Knowledge

Typically playing into the prevailing wind, a driver off the tee is a must here to take advantage of the generous landing area.  Getting the approach shot close can be more difficult than one thinks.  A false front and two large bunkers closely guard the right and left side of this green.  If the hole location is in the middle or back part of this green, a nice bailout area is short of the green.
