The last par 3 on the course features a well-bunkered green with a large greenside bunker to the left and a hidden bunker to the right. Another false front to a par three green demands the player carry their shot at least three to four yards onto the surface to hold the green.
Avoiding the green side bunkers on this hole is a must. The opening in the front of this green allows the golfer to run a shot up onto this green, avoiding the aforementioned green side bunkers.
Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice had a hole-in-one on this hole Saturday, September 17th, 2011. She used a 7 wood to make the ace on the 150 yard par 3. This was Dr. Rice's first hole-in-one. Her achievement was recognized nationally during the NBC broadcast of the Notre Dame vs. Michigan State football game she attended later that day.
