The Warren Golf Course hosted the Coaches vs Cancer Golf Classic on July 30, 2024. This was the Warren's first time hosting the outing and the response to the new location was great. The Coaches vs Cancer Golf Classic organizers signed up 170 golfers who went out on the course in 43 groups for the 12:00 PM shotgun start. The Warren staff had the course in beautiful condition and readied its entire golf cart fleet and 35 additional carts to accommodate all the golfers and other official needs.
Funds raised during the outing are used to support the Coaches vs Cancer's program's mission "to increase cancer awareness and promote healthy living through year-round awareness efforts, fundraising activities, and advocacy programs." Michael Ziener, Vice President at the American Cancer Society, indicated that proceeds from this year's outing will support the development of patient navigators in Indiana.
