On August 17-18, 2024 the Golf Heritage Society and the Society of Hickory Golfers were at the Warren Golf Course for the 12th annual Michiana Hickory Open. Practice rounds were played on the 17th and historical and vendor displays and the open were held on the 18th.
The historical and vendor area had a variety of vintage golf equipment available for sale and displays of a number of historical artifacts.
Also present were Denny and Cathy Lane of Hickory Lane Featherie. Their display included a number of feather balls and the materials required to make them. In addition to the Michiana Hickory Open South Bend's Studebaker Golf Course hosted the inaugural Michiana Featherie Challenge.
